→ What ever happened to my glory days, Garfield?
→ Wait! Wait! I know!
알아!
→ Ker. Flush

Let's get right down to business.

A: It's nice to meet you.
B: Same here. It's great to see you too.
A: Please make yourself at home.
B: Thank you very much.
A: I hope you've recovered from your jet-lag.
B: It's not too bad.
A: Shall we get right down to business?
B: Yes. I'm ready.
A: First of all, may I ask you about your new plant in the U.S?
B: Of course. What exactly do you want to know about it?
A: Well, I have a list of questions which I'd like to confirm.
B: Sure, let's go over it one by one.
get down to business란 표현은 위의 경우에는 「본론으로 들어가자」라는 의미로 사용되었고 예를 들어 새 일을 시작할 때 let's get down to business하면 「일을 시작합시다」라고 할 수 있다. Let's get right down to point.

Tehran's stonewalling

It is doubtful that Monday’s decision by Washington-under heavy pressure from the European Union (EU)-to acquiesce to a softened International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolution criticizing Iran’s nuclear program will persuade Iran to halt its efforts to produce atomic weapons.

I followed your instruction to the letter.

A: You didn't make an mistake.
B: I followed your instruction to the letter.

'to the letter'는 'exactly as instructed/written' (하라는 대로, 쓰여진 대로)의 뜻이다.

" She vanished into thin air. " :
A: Where is Jane?
Jane
B: I don’t know. She just vanished into thin air.
A: What? But she was just here a minute ago.
B: Well, maybe she got an urgent call or something.
