설원기
설원기는 1951년 서울에서 출생했으며,
미국과 한국에서 활동하며 10회 개인전을 가진 바 있다.
현재 한국 예술 종합학교 교수로 재직중이다.
그는 다른 이들은 평범한 경험으로 생각할 수 있는 것에서
비범함을 추구함으로써 회화의 주제를 만들어 왔다.
그의 이미지들은 자연, 그것은 아름다움,
소리 그리고 향기 우리의 기억안에서 경험에 의해
주입된 것들과의 관계에 대한 질문의 촉매이다.
설원기의 작품들은 아름답게 구성되어졌고,
때론 시적이고, 터치가 가볍고, 색이 명확하고, 복합적이며 다층적이다.
그리고 예술적으로 현실과는 다른 어떤 장소에 피난처를 주고 있다.
